Nazir Ahmad Rather
Nazir Ahmad Rather has spent over thirty years guiding travellers through the mountains he grew up in. He started with a single jeep and a notebook of contacts; today Gulmarg Tour & Travels handles hundreds of guests every season, yet every itinerary still passes through his hands before it goes out.
His philosophy has always been simple: know every road, know every hotel room, and be honest about both. The reputation for transparent pricing and on-ground reliability that the company carries today is a direct reflection of how he has always worked.
I started this business because I wanted people to see Kashmir the way I see it — not from a tour bus, but slowly, with time to sit and listen. Every guest who leaves with a story to tell is the whole point.
